What a week. What a team. What a community.
From the first rack to the final handshake, this event was powered by a lot of heart. Only a crazy person would organize a professional ladies’ event on top of the U.S. Open, during the first week of school, while solo-parenting—and then have a student fly into town for a two-day training a day later. Whew! Who doesn’t love a challenge?
I want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who helped make this event unforgettable:
Venue & Staff
To the entire Felt crew, management, and the kitchen team who stepped up in every way—it was truly all hands on deck.
To Zach, our official assistant TD.
To Clara, our stand-in assistant TD.
To Neal, our shot clocker and go-to volunteer for everything in between.
WPBA Staff & Volunteers
To the ever-dedicated WPBA staff…
To Jerry, our more-than-just-a-tournament director—thank you for your tireless behind-the-scenes efforts. Only you.
To Lonnie & Bob, for providing a world-class stream for those who couldn’t attend.
To Ada, for wrangling the booth staff with grace.
To board members Tiffany & Daryn, for your unwavering support.
Commentary Crew
Thanks to all the local players who jumped into the booth: April, Bobby (also for generously hosting our photographer), Jeremiah, Jim, Rachel, Ron, Ryan, Zach—your voices brought the matches to life. And of course, our special guest commentators.

And of course, thanks to all the players and supporters who tuned in or came by to sweat matches.
This event wasn’t just a tournament—it was a testament to what happens when a community comes together for the sport they love.
Thank you all for being part of it. Until next time…
